This is an open call for volunteers to participate in the project "Green Week Festival" in Thessaloniki, Greece from 2021-06-28 to 2021-08-26 (59 full days, excluding travel).
A team of 20 volunteers (10 from Latvia and 10 from Greece) will support the work of M-eating Hub initiative (
fb.com/MeatingHub), receiving and sorting food donations, preparing distribution packages, participating in No Food Waste activities, as well as implementing a collaboration activity with a rural community. Each volunteer will be encouraged to develop a personal community sustainability project via the process of co-creation and co-budgeting , using holistic facilitation methods.
The volunteer team will receive a series of trainings – project management, workshop & facilitating which will also include visual notetaking – that develop employable skills.
The project covers basic expenses - meals, accomodation and personal insurance.
Maximum reimbursable travel for Latvia is 275€.
We expect participants aged 18 to 30 with medium English skills and self-development mindset, ready for demanding work within the community of Thessaloniki.
Participants are expected to be co-creators of experience, rather than passive consumers.
Video documentary, graphic design, social media skills are welcome, but not required.
Participants will be required to follow COVID-19 restriction guidelines in place at the time of the project.
